00048 - Comprehensive Campus Master Plan

The purpose of the Oakland University Campus Master Plan (Master Plan) is to support achievement of the University’s Strategic Vision and objectives. The Master Plan must help differentiate the University and recognize it as a distinctive destination - with outstanding academic programs, a vibrant campus life, and a compelling physical presence. Further, the Master Plan must be developed in the context of Oakland University as a 21st century university including stewardship for sustainability and carbon reduction on campus. Moreover, the Master Plan will provide a basis for coordinating physical and programmatic development decisions, providing a framework for long and short-term planning that is clear and flexible – responding to changing needs and conditions. It will also help guide development of a strategic, prioritized Capital Outlay Request.
