The mission of Rochester Community Schools is to provide a quality education in a caring atmosphere so all students can attain the necessary skills and knowledge to become lifelong learners and contribute to a diverse, interdependent and changing world. The Rochester Community SD includes 523 acres of property encompassing 66 square miles primarily within the City of Rochester, the City of Rochester Hills, and Oakland Charter Township. With 13 elementary schools, four middle schools, three high schools, one alternative high school, and one childcare center, more than 15,000 students residing in the greater Rochester area have the advantage of receiving a world-class education. The district is proud to have adopted a balanced and equitable spending plan that is sustainable, promotes growth, and ensures high-quality student programming. By managing an annual operating budget of $173 million and a $185 bond initiative, funding is in place to ensure the educational future of our students.
