This project summary provides a summary of the asbestos-containing materials and non-asbestos-containing materials which will be removed as part of the bid. The scope of work, project requirements and project schedule are provided in the specification documents. The Contractor is encouraged to review all aspects of the scope-of work when preparing the bid and is instructed not to use this summary when preparing this bid.
[ABATEMENT]
• Project Group ASH-01 - “North Wing Flooring Abatement”
The first project group for abatement at Asher Alternative High School includes the removal and disposal of all asbestos flooring materials, including asbestos floor tile and non-asbestos floor tile mastic from various locations throughout the building. The project will include, but is not limited to, Room 1, Room 2, Room 3, Room 4, Room 1-4 Lobby, Room 5, Room 6, Room 7, Room 8, Room 5-8 Lobby and North Main Hallway. This project will involve multiple negative pressure enclosures to remove the asbestos floor covering materials using Class II non-friable removal procedures. The project will begin on Monday, February 3, 2025, and will be complete with all abatement activities, including tear down activities, by the end of the workday on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The project schedule allows for a total of eight (8) workdays (Monday-Saturday, Monday-Tuesday) to complete the project.
• Project Group ASH-02 - “South Wing Flooring Abatement”
The second project group for abatement at Asher Alternative High School includes the removal and disposal of all asbestos flooring materials, including asbestos floor tile and non-asbestos floor tile mastic from various locations throughout the building. The project will include, but is not limited to, Room 10, Room 11, Room 12, Room 13, Room 10-13 Lobby, Room 14, Room 15, Room 16, Room 17, Room 14-17 Lobby and South Main Hallway. This project will involve multiple negative pressure enclosures to remove the asbestos floor covering materials using Class II non-friable removal procedures. The project will begin on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, and will be complete with all abatement activities, including tear down activities, by the end of the workday on Thursday, February 20, 2025. The project schedule allows for a total of eight (8) workdays (Wednesday-Saturday, Monday-Thursday) to complete the project.
• Project Group ASH-03 - “West Wing Flooring Abatement”
The third project group for abatement at Asher Alternative High School includes the removal and disposal of all asbestos flooring materials, including asbestos floor tile and non-asbestos floor tile mastic from various locations throughout the building. The project will include, but is not limited to, Student Lounge, File Room, Advisor’s Office A, Advisor’s Office B, Multi-Purpose Room, Teacher’s Lounge, Boiler Room Hallway, Main Office Hallway, Conference Room, Main Office, Principal’s Office, Office Storage and Social Work Office. This project will involve multiple negative pressure enclosures to remove the asbestos floor covering materials using Class II non-friable removal procedures. The project will begin on Friday, February 21, 2025, and will be complete with all abatement activities, including tear down activities, by the end of the workday on Saturday, March 1, 2025. The project schedule allows for a total of eight (8) workdays (Friday-Saturday, Monday- aturday) to complete the project.
