Summary of Specifications:
The Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART), the public transportation agency which services the metropolitan Detroit suburbs, is soliciting quotations for the maintenance and repair services of fuel pumps at three bus terminals.
The contract term will be three years with two one-year options. The contract will provide for all maintenance and repairs up to and including $2,500 per incident. Single repairs in excess of that amount may be subjective to a separate competitive solicitation. It is expected that the contract will begin about September 1, 2014, but this date is not guaranteed. The actual contract start date will be the date specified by the Purchasing Agent in the Purchase Order/Acceptance or Notice of Award.
By submitting a quote, the quoting vendor certifies that it has been provided the opportunity to visit the premises and inspect equipment to be covered under this agreement. Failure to familiarize itself with the equipment and/or premises, or failure to allow sufficient time to schedule an appointment shall not release the contractor from its obligations under this contract.
The quoting vendor shall contact Keith Taylor, SMART’s Superintendent of Maintenance @ 248-419-7915 to schedule a site/equipment visit at the sites shown in the Specifications.
