ITB-15-1732 - Purchase of Alternators & Starters

Summary of Specifications:
The Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART), the public transportation agency which services the metropolitan Detroit suburbs, is soliciting proposals for Alternators and Starters. SMART intends to award a three (3) year contract with two (2) one-year options for new alternators and starters or remanufactured alternators and starters, which ever is more advantageous to SMART. Remanufactured is defined as original equipment parts completely disassembled and remanufactured to meet or exceed the manufacturer’s specifications. Only approved parts are acceptable. Approved equals must be authorized prior to award of the contract. See Section 3.04 for approved equal information.
