SMART is requesting proposals from responsible, responsive, qualified professional services firms to produce a Zero Emission Fleet Transition Plan which entails:

Analysis of SMART’s existing fleet of fixed route, demand response and community operated demand response vehicles and operational network
Evaluation of the most feasible and cost-effective zero-emission options available to SMART
Identification of the requirements and impacts of transitioning to a zero-emission fleet including capital, operating, and maintenance costs, types of vehicles and infrastructure requirements, policy, legislation and staff training impacts, and a schedule to replace the existing fleet with zero emission vehicles.
