REQUEST FOR QUOTES HANGING FLOWER BASKETS
Scope of Services The Lake Orion Downtown Development Authority is seeking quotes from a company to design, grow, and maintain sixty (60) hanging baskets until time of delivery. Hanging baskets have a 15-16 inch diameter.
Vendors will pre-grow baskets prior to installation in order to allow for fuller plantings at the time of delivery. All baskets will be located in areas that are deemed “full sun�. Bright colored “trailing� petunias should be included in the design of the basket. Please note colors that are available in your quote.
Baskets must be mature by Monday, May 15, 2017 and delivered to the Village of Lake Orion no later than Thursday, May 18, 2017. Coordination of specific date and time can be made with Lake Orion DDA Director Molly LaLone by calling 248-693-9742.
Costs shall include price for entire job and will take into account need for plant material, planting labor, soil and fertilizer cost, usage of soil moist-polymer retaining crystals, and care and storage while baskets mature. A cocoa mat liner is needed in 10 of the baskets and should also be included in the quote.
The physical basket is actually owned by the DDA and plantings must be grown in our basket. Baskets must be picked up by vendor prior to February 28, 2017 at the Lake Orion Department of Public Works, 362 Cass Street, Lake Orion, MI. Coordination of specific date and time to pick up empty baskets can be made with Lake Orion DDA Director Molly LaLone by calling 248-693-9742. Cost should include pick up of baskets and delivery of mature baskets.
HOW TO SUBMIT A QUOTE All interested parties must utilize the MITN bid system to access this Request for Bids and to complete the bid proposal submittal process. Bidders must register as a vendor, and registration is free of charge unless selecting the optional automatic notification services, which requires an annual fee. Bidders can access the online MITN vendor registration at https://www.mitn.info/Registration.asp?ID=2261 .
Quotes will be submitted online through the MITN system until 2:00 p.m. on February 22, 2017.
