Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission (WCPARC) needs to completely replace roughly five(5) miles of asphalt paved cart paths and a third of a mile long paved entry roadway at the Pierce Lake Golf Course and Park in Chelsea, Michigan.
Work will involve pulverization/crushing of the existing asphalt bituminous materials for reuse as base for new HMA installations, complete removal and disposal of existing asphalt materials in limited locations, supply and installation of MDOT 21AA limestone as required, supplying and machine placement of specified HMA cart paths, path curbing, and roadway, and full restoration of all areas disturbed by execution of project work. All work must be completed by a CONTRACTOR experienced in this type of working on similar municipal projects. See Proposal, Drawings, and Specifications for additional information.
Bidders must complete forms in the Experience and Qualifications section of this RFP. Based on the response to this RFP, including, experience, ability, financial standing, and bid prices submitted, the County will select a CONTRACTOR to best provide the required services.
SPECIAL NOTE: Any references to boardwalk structural reconstruction, specifications, and/or details throughout this document should be disregarded for this “paving” project RFP. Elements associated with boardwalk work has already been executed under a separate contract.
