Summary of Specifications:
INTRODUCTION: Through this Request for Bids (RFB), the Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit Bids for fast-dry, waterborne latex runway paint in the colors of white, yellow, black, red, green and blue for Detroit Metro and Willow Run Airports. GENERAL INFORMATION: The Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) is responsible for maintaining pavement markings on the airfields, ramps, parking lots and public road systems at both Detroit Metro and Willow Run Airports. The Airport Authority currently uses the following equipment for paint application: JCL Roadrunner, model #550-3000 with Graco pumps and guns; EZ-Liner, model #AL120-EZ, pick up stripers; and Line Lazer IV, model #200HS with Graco pumps and guns. The Airport Authority has used approximately 23,000 gallons of white, yellow, black, red, green and blue colored fast-dry, waterborne latex paint per painting season for the past three (3) years. Paint is delivered, as needed, in 5-gallon containers, 55-gallon drums or 275-gallon totes depending on the type and number of containers requested per order.
