SFQ-150656 - Repair Erosion of Pond 3E/4, Pond 3W and Pond 4R Berms

Summary of Specifications:
Through this Solicitation for Quotes (SFQ), the Wayne County Airport Authority (Airport Authority) hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit quotes to provide stormwater pond berm and bank erosion repair services at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (Metro). This work is being solicited by the Wayne County Airport Authority Department of Environment and Sustainability. The purpose of this contract is to repair storm-induced erosion along the berms of DTW Stormwater Detention Ponds 3E/4 and 3W and to repair degradation of the banks of Pond 4R, a smaller pond that contains dilute spent aircraft deicing fluid runoff. The work is required to fortify eroding berm areas of this stormwater infrastructure to maintain the integrity of the berms in order to stay in compliance with State of Michigan Dam Safety regulations. The repairs will involve removal of compromised berm material, installation of appropriate geo-textile material on areas where compromised material has been removed, placement of compacted clay to return the berms to their design contours, and placement of appropriate stone rip-rap to protect the repaired berms.
