Summary of Specifications:
Sealed proposals will be received by the Office of the Clerk, Charter Township of West Bloomfield, Michigan 48325 until 2:00 PM on May 4, 2011 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud and the different items noted, for the Town Hall HVAC Upgrades.
The Work of the Project is defined in the Contract Documents dated April 6, 2010 – BIDS and consists of the following: •Demolition and removal of existing boiler •Provide new high efficiency hot water boiler with recirculation pumps •Demolition and removal of existing roof top air conditioning unit serving general office area •Provide new 60 ton rooftop air conditioning unit (RTU-1) with variable frequency drives on the supply and exhaust fans to serve the general office area •Demolition of existing DX coil on AC-1 in basement that serves the Board Room and condensing unit and tubing •Provide new DX coil in AC-1 and new condensing unit ACCU-1 outside on grade with new tubing routed to AC-1 in the basement. •Demolition and removal of existing air conditioning units serving the second floor offices •Provide two (2) new air conditioning units (AC-2 & AC-3) and condensing units (ACCU-2 and ACCU-3) on roof to serve the second floor offices •Provide two (2) new Computer Room AC units with free cooling (AC-4 and AC-5) and drycoolers (DC-1 and DC-2) located on the roof •Provide transfer fan (TF-1) for Computer Room •Architectural and electrical adjustments necessary to allow placement of new Computer Room AC units •Demolition and removal of existing Computer Room AC unit and raised floor replacement •Removal of existing electrical branch circuit wiring to existing mechanical equipment and re-connection and extension of electrical branch circuit wiring to new mechanical equipment as indicated in contract documents. •Note that concurrent with this project a separate project will be installing a new DDC control system throughout the Town Hall
A pre-Bid conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. local time on April 14, 2011 at the Charter Township of West Bloomfield Town Hall, 4550 Walnut Lake Road, West Bloomfield, MI 48325. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Engineer will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective. Bidders are required to attend and participate in the conference.
