Montana State University Plant Sciences & Plant Pathology Department is seeking a Brand Specific Case IH 7000 or 8000 series Combine with fewer than 1000 engine hours to assure quality grain threshing with minimal losses, ease in changing from crop to crop and allow total seed cleanout between crops and varieties as essential to MSU's Foundation Seed Program distribution mission as an extension to our five plant genetic breeding programs. An example: harvesting Buzz barley and then taking 6 hours to clean the combine for the Dagmar spring wheat to be harvested next. Buzz barley contamination in the Dagmar drops it from Foundation seed classification resulting in lost seed sales, lost research fee collections and less variety access for Montana seed growers and producers. The Combine: Must have the ability to combine a wide range of crops requiring different concaves and cylinder speeds. Must have the ability to open up top to Bottom, front to back for cleanout between crops and varieties. Must have open access to all grain moving augers for seed cleanout Must have ability to accommodate precision ag technology add ons Must have Rotary threshing unit for best seed processing and conditioning Must be overall lighter weight with height, length and width suitable for moving around town of Bozeman to field sites Must have larger cleaning system area for wind contract for quality see control Must have Quick and easy changing of concave sets for different crops Header must be between 30 and 40 feet wide, flex type for low combining of pulses and have outside drive system vs. center
