Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The State of Montana is considering a request from the Department of Transportation, to award a Sole Source contract to Kontur US, Inc. for 3D Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). The determination of this Sole Source purchase is based on the following requirements: 1. Sole Brand – Kontur Air2124 (MK6 Version) and associated software is the only brand acceptable. Only manufacturer authorized distributors will be considered. 2. Manufacturing, Selling, and Distribution – This 3D GPR is manufactured, sold, and distributed exclusively by Kontur US, Inc. There is no other known like item(s) or product(s) available for purchase that would serve the same purpose or function. 3. Software – The equipment purchase will include embedded data collection software, Examiner Collect, for area coverage and customizing survey options. Examiner Specialist is capable of efficiently analyzing large GPR projects. It provides a 3- dimensional, georeferenced view of the high-quality subsurface data, in addition to various reporting features. The Kontur GRP equipment must have compatible software, and the only identified compatible software is Kontur’s.
