Beginning in the Spring of 2025, the City of Omaha will again be funding for the hauling and processing of Scrap Tires from participating Neighborhood Associations in conjunction with Omaha’s Spring and Fall Clean Up Programs. Depending upon the availability and costs of contractor equipment, the Public Works Department will be coordinating the effort with the following goals: ● One designated Scrap Tire collection site per 5 Saturday over 6 weeks during the spring ● Begin collection events at 9:00 AM ● Tire hauler/processor for scrap tires at that select site for each of the 5 Saturdays. ● Place all equipment necessary to remove all Scrap Tires from select site each collection day ● Haulers submit to the City a copy of scale tickets with collection site location noted
