This airboat will function as the primary fire and rescue response vessel to all marine-based fire and rescue incidents within the Town of Tuftonboro during non-open water seasons over multiple bodies of water. The boat’s primary mission is to provide a platform for ice and water rescue, with a secondary mission of supporting marinebased fire suppression in the winter season. Safe operation on ice, snow and water is essential. It will further respond to mainland fires along the shores of said waters and respond to requests for mutual aid for the same types of incidents in other communities as a subsequent responder. The airboat must be able to be quickly and easily accessed and be deployed efficiently and effectively. The airboat shall also be configured to carry crew and necessary equipment. This is for a boat only, a trailer is NOT needed.
