Specifications include, but are not limited to: SPECIFICATION:This RFB is for work to be completed in NHDOT District Three for supplying and installing approximately 6,188 linear feetstandard beam guardrail on 7 foot steel posts, eleven (11) 50 foot EAGRT Terminal Units, and nine (9) 25 foot EAGRTTerminal Units. The work shall consist of eight (8) separate runs of guardrail in the towns of Madison, Eaton, andTamworth. All runs are located on tangent sections of road or on large radius curves where tangent guardrail isappropriate. All guardrail posts shall be 7 foot steel W6x8.5 posts. All materials and workmanship shall conform to thecurrent "NHDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction" including the latest supplementalspecifications, if any, and to the current, "Standard Plans for Road and Bridge Construction."The attached maps are included to assist in locating the work. Quantities located on the "Guardrail Summary" sheetare for bidding purposes only. The Department reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity, in accordancewith the Standard Specifications, as funding and site conditions dictate. Actual limits of work shall be laid out beforeconstruction. If unexpected circumstances arise in the field the work shall be adjusted accordingly.The Contractor shall be responsible for removal and disposal of existing guardrail, filling in holes left by post removal withgravel, compact and flush to ground level, remove existing curb board, remove and dispose of the winter sand andother material under the existing guardrail that would otherwise impede drainage, and calling Dig Safe prior to the startof work at each location.Once work has started on a guardrail run, it shall proceed uninterrupted until the run is complete. If an entire run ofguardrail cannot be completed in a single workday, the area shall be adequately protected and left in a safecondition for the overnight period.The State shall be responsible for the layout of the actual guardrail and terminal platform locations prior to construction,construct the platforms and fill slopes for guardrail and terminal units, and traffic control
