In responding to the bid invitation, the prospective Vendor shall address all requirements for information as outlined herein. 27.1.1. GENERAL; 27.1.1.1. Heavy duty galvanized service body shall be mounted by successful bidder on 2025 Ram 2500 crew cab 169” WB; 27.1.1.2. Chassis will be picked up by the successful bidder at the State DOT Mechanical Services Garage and returned when installation is completed; 27.1.2. CONSTRUCTION/CONFIGURATION; 27.1.2.1. Body to be constructed of galvanized (or “Galvanneal”) sheet steel and primed with iron oxide or zinc chromate primer. 27.1.2.2. Exterior and interior of compartments shall be painted to match cab (White); 27.1.2.3. Compartment depth shall be minimum 14.5” with adjustable trays. 27.1.2.4. Plated chain or cable supports required on all horizontal doors. 27.1.2.5. All compartment door hinges shall be bolt on type with stainless steel hinge brackets and bushing inserts or adjustable hidden hinges. 27.1.2.6. All compartment doors shall be equipped with keyed alike locks, adjustable striker plates and 2-stage safety catches. Adhesive mounted automotive type rubber seals shall be used on all doors. 27.1.2.7. Underside of service body to be completely covered with LINE-X or Extreme hipressure, high heat product protection. 27.1.2.8. Space between step bumper and body to be covered with Line-X or Extreme hi-pressure, high heat product protection. 27.1.2.9. Bumper to be constructed with anti-slip surface. 27.1.2.10. Body shall be equipped with a slam action tailgate; 27.1.2.11. All taillights recessed and reflectors as required by state and federal laws shall be installed. 27.1.2.12. Rock guards shall be installed in the front lower corners of the service body. 27.1.3. MOUNTING; 27.1.3.1. The body cross members must bear directly on the truck frame or on a hardwood filler at least 2-1/2” wide, contoured to the truck frame to provide a level mounting surface where possible. 27.1.4. COVER; 27.1.4.1. Body shall be upfitted with a self-retractable lockable aluminum roll up cover. Roll up cover shall make compartment waterproof and terminate at tailgate. Rollcover Corporation is indicative of design required.
