1. Guarantee: The Vendor shall guarantee that the Unit and all component parts shall comply with the latest Federal Safety Standards and Standards and New Jersey State Motor Vehicle Code Regulations and with this specification perform its function adequately and operate successfully without undue wear or vibration. The Vendor shall agree to immediately replace and install free of charge any part that may break or fails by reason of defective materials or workmanship within a period of three (3) years or 36,000 miles from time of delivery and acceptance by the Agency. The Vendor shall guarantee in writing, to maintain a supply of component parts for a minimum of five (5) years. Agreed________________________________________ (please initial agreement) 2. Finish: The Unit and all its components shall be thoroughly cleaned and painted with one (1) coat of rust resistant zinc rich primer and finished with two (2) coats of the color White Basecoat/Clearcoat paint. All painted surfaces to be same shade. Entire Unit shall be Ziebart or equal (must meet or exceed specifications) treated after all mountings are completed. All lettering and or Logo’s are to be Township Specifications and paid by vendor. Deviation or Substitution (Must meet or exceed specified requirements). __________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________ 3. All truck lettering and or Logo’s will be installed by a third party vendor of the Townships choosing. The Lettering is to be installed to Township Specifications and paid by vendor. Allowances for Lettering are listed on page 9 (proposal form) of this technical specification. 4. Drive Train: Engine shall be Heavy- Duty, Water Cooled, Gasoline engine, developing not less than 400 Horsepower and 440 lb. ft of Torque. Deviation or Substitution (Must meet or exceed specified requirements). 5. Transmission shall be not less than 10 Speed Automatic with overdrive and Tow/Haul mode. Transmission must have manual shift feature to lock in gear selected for plowing mode. Transmission shall be protected by a skid plate.
