A. Contractor will be responsible for repairing Facilities, Food Service, Print Shop, and band trucks and vehicles. Bidder must have equipment, tools, and training to perform auto body work on pickup trucks, transport vans, small trucks, and refrigerated trucks. Contractor will need to perform work on large trucks with a GVWR up to 33,000 lbs. B. Location where work will be performed must be located within a 20-mile radius of the school district. If vehicle is not drivable, contractor would need to arrange for towing from Passaic to repair facility, if needed. C. Contractor must have a MIG welder, frame machine, and spray booth at their facility or otherwise have that equipment available for us. D. Hourly labor rate should be quoted as a part of the contract. Labor rate must remain the same for the entirety of the contract period. E. Scope of work will depend on the damage at the time. Work will also be dependent on as needed basis. F. Discount percentage on replacement or repair parts must also be included in the bid contract. Mitchell Collision Estimating Guide or Motor Crash Collision Estimating Guide should be utilized when providing estimates. G. Any work that is recommended on a vehicle must have an approved estimate returned to the contractor before work is performed on the vehicle. H. The contractor and the BOE should mutually agree on the timeline for any repair work. The contractor must set a realistic timeline for the repairs. I. An itemized bill, with parts and labor broken down, must be provided at the time that the service has been completed on the vehicle. Vendor must be able to accept purchase orders as method of payment. J. Contractor must complete satisfactory work that is visually appealing. All broken glass and/or non-repairable parts must be removed and replaced. All paint colors should be matched to the original paint, and paint work should not have any bubbles, ripple, blisters, or cosmetic blemishes. K. Parts used for repairs must be new. Use of reconditioned parts must be approved first by a BOE representative. L. If any work completed is unsatisfactory, the contractor must immediately correct/repair the parts/supplies/accessories to a satisfactory standard.
