The Newark Board of Education seeks to contract with one or more organizations to administer each of the following benefits programs: A. Continuation of Health Coverage (COBRA) Administration o Qualifying Event Notification: 1,000 employees (Approx.) o Initial Notifications: 1,000 employees (Approx.) o Participant Termination: 800 employees (Approx.) B. Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Commuter Benefits Spending Accounts. Participants: 3 o FSA Dependent Care: 50 employees o FSA Medical: 372 employees o Commuter Parking: 70 employees o Commuter Transit: 61 employees C. Self-Funded Short Term Disability Plan Administration for Union Locals 3 and 617 in line with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements: o Local 3: 259 employees o Local 617: 665 employees The goal is to partner with Plan Administrators to comply with applicable state and local regulations to deliver these programs in an efficient and customer focused manner. Proposers may administer one, two or all three Scope of Services.
