Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Board of County Commissioners shall designate the CUMBERLAND County Office on Aging & Disabled as the Area Agency to administer the funds described herein by arranging through contract(s) and/or grants for the provision of services, programs, etc., described in the Area Plan of CUMBERLAND County for the Fiscal Year 2024, according to the approved schedule detailed herein. The Area Agency on Aging shall also be responsible for the following: 1. The development and submission to the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Aging Services of a three-year Area Plan, with annual amendments as required. The plan will adhere to the Area Plan requirements of the Older Americans Act regulations. 2. Fulfilling all county office on aging and area agency responsibilities as required by P.L. 95-478 and NJAC 5:71, and pursuant regulations regarding advocacy, planning and management, designation of community focal points, establishment of advisory councils and coordination with other agencies. 3. Conducting a minimum of four scheduled meetings with representatives of all agencies funded under the Area Plan, and all other public or private agencies involved with services to the elderly.
