The firm shall provide the following services as part of this contract with respect to the construction phase: 1. Provide (1) full-time resident inspector to be present during construction to ensure that work is completed in accordance with the requirements of the Plans and Specifications; 2. Conduct the pre-construction meeting with contractor and City representatives; 3. Review and approve submittals and shop drawings; 4. Respond to contractor'sinquiries and requests for information (RFIs); 5. Review design changes proposed by the contractor; 6. Construction Management daily reports to include progress reports on construction, payables and change orders and sent to City Engineer; 7. Conduct and chair construction progress job meetings, as necessary, and submit written minutes; 8. Review and approve contractor’s payment requests; 9. Respond to City of Passaic and resident/property owner concerns; 10. Coordinate with utility companies to manage any impacts on existing utilities and ensure their timely relocation or protection during construction. 11. Ensure that all construction work complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards. Conduct regular safety inspections. 12. Implement and oversee quality control procedures to ensure that materials and workmanship meet the project specifications and standards. 13. Develop and implement a communication plan to keep residents and businesses informed about construction progress, schedules, and any potential disruptions. 14. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and manage any potential environmental impacts related to the project. 15. Conduct a final inspection upon project completion to ensure that all work is completed to satisfaction and in accordance with the contract documents. Prepare a final acceptance report. 16. Prepare and maintain complete project documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, etc. Manage the project closeout process.
