PPPL requires a qualified subcontractor to furnish and erect temporary scaffolds to support the National Spherical Torus experiment Upgrade (NSTXU) Recovery Project on an as needed basis to provide worker access to locations typically not safely accessible by ladder, or personnel lifts. The Subcontractor shall provide, but not be limited to, the erection, maintenance, alteration, adjustment, modification and dismantling of the scaffolds. The subcontractor, with due expedition and safety, will provide the scaffolds to the reasonable satisfaction of the PPPL representative. It is expected that “tube and coupler” scaffolds will be the primary requirement, although other types of scaffolds may be required.
Scaffolds may be requested to remain in place for periods of less than three (3) weeks to a period greater than one (1) month.
PPPL Intends to award a basic ordering agreement that includes a base year with (4) one year option periods. Individual job orders will be placed for specificed scaffolding configuation packages required to meet PPPL project requirements.
