A. Qualifications and experience of attorneys that will handle the matters identified in the Scope of Services, as well as the availability of attorneys and other staff to adequately and effectively handle such matters. For litigation matters, the city will view more favorably those proposals that identify and designate Certified Civil Trial Attorneys and/or attorneys with significant jury trial experience that will be a part of the litigation team. NOTE: PROVIDE EACH ATTORNEY’S RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AS PERTAINS TO THE SPECIFIC AREA OF LAW IDENTIFIED IN THIS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. GENERALIZED STATEMENTS, WITHOUT SPECIFIC AND RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE, WILL RESULT IN LOWER SCORES. B. The price proposal must include separate rates for shareholders, all other attorneys and paralegals. Please note that the rate proposals for shareholders should not exceed $175/hour, $135/hour for all other attorneys, and $85/hour for paralegals. In addition, the price proposal must include a breakdown of the administrative fees and costs necessary to complete the work (i.e., photocopying, postage, etc.). A not-toexceed amount will be placed on the initial award of the contract. C. History and experience of firm or attorney conducting the insurance litigation and related work in the State of New Jersey as identified in the Scope of Services. NOTE: PROVIDE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES OF CASES AND OTHER MATTERS THE FIRM OR ATTORNEY HAS HANDLED RELEVANT TO THE SPECIFIC AREA OF LAW IDENTIFIED IN THIS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. GENERALIZED STATEMENTS, WITHOUT SPECIFIC EXAMPLES, WILL RESULT IN LOWER SCORES. D. Familiarity with the City of Trenton and a solid understanding of the form of government under which the city operates. E. Sufficient availability and capacity to appear at various meetings, including City Council meetings and other meetings required by the City Administration.
