3.3 Service and Reporting Requirements: I. Contractor shall provide high quality portable x-rays, and through the Contractor’s assignment, ultrasound services for inmates of the Somerset County Jail (SCJ). X-rays will be scheduled each Wednesday. Any variation from the regularly scheduled day would require prior approval from Somerset County Jail. Other testing will be scheduled on an as needed appointment basis or requested as stat (within 24 hours). X-rays and other diagnostic testing will only be done from an order of a licensed, authorized Physician or Dentist. Scheduled technicians providing services in the Somerset County Jail must pass security clearance as outlined in the Personnel and Security Requirements sections. All technicians must have valid NJ license certification to perform required service(s). (Copies to be provided by technicians during security training.) II. All x-rays will be interpreted by a licensed Radiologist (please provide a copy of license(s) with bid response). The Radiologist will dictate a report for each examination. All transcribed written reports must be faxed to the Somerset County Jail within 24 hours of the test. The Contractor must promptly telephone the Somerset County Jail Medical Unit with result(s) of any abnormal tests. Somerset County Jail Medical staff should have the ability to view films and reports online. III. Chest x-ray films/discs revealing infiltrates or other questionable findings are to be delivered stat, within 12 hours. Other positive result films/discs will be scheduled for a timely arrival within 24 hours when requested. IV. The Contractor will provide ultrasounds as ordered by the Somerset County Jail Physician or Dentist and have an interpretive report written and faxed to Somerset County Jail Medical Unit. Film(s)/disc(s) will be scheduled for a timely arrival within 48-72 hours when requested.
