The engineering consulting firm will be required to provide traffic engineering services on an “as needed basis” at the direction of the County Engineer. These professional services will include but will not be limited, upon mutual agreement, to the following: 1. Conduct traffic studies at various locations on County roadways and/or other facilities in response to operational inquiries. 2. Conduct field investigations at unsignalized and signalized intersections, as well as along roadways in response to operational inquiries. 3. Conduct traffic warrant analyses and developing graphics using the current edition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). 4. Conduct speed studies including speed limit recommendations. 5. Prepare specific letters, design packages and other documentation for traffic control devices and regulations submission by the County to the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) for approval. 6. Develop traffic signal timing schedules and directives. 7. Conduct level of service (LOS) analyses and corridor optimization for both before and after improvements implementation utilizing Synchro/Sim Traffic, HCS and other software following Highway Capacity Manual procedures. Models are to be calibrated
