A. Youth Job Training & Workforce Investment (Up to $75,000) To re-engage youth that have dropped out of high school in Camden City in a Job Training and Workforce Investment service that will increase one’s viability for gainful, meaningful, and viable employment opportunities in the field of technology and innovation with a focus on skill development, real-world experience, and trauma-informed care. Target Population: Black and Hispanic youth, males and females, between the ages of 14-21 that are disengaged from the Camden City School System. Objectives: To provide a positive, healing atmosphere that propels young people to build strong futures and break the cycle of violence and poverty in Camden, NJ. Connect young people to opportunities that foster and develop their technology skills and to connect them to viable employment opportunities. Provide job training and workforce development opportunities that include trauma-informed approaches to best support young people as they work to overcome systemic barriers and cycles of violence, crime, and poverty.
