• The Risk Management Consultant shall assist the Township in identifying its insurable exposures and to recommend professional methods to reduce, assume or transfer the risk or loss. • Assist the Township in understanding and selecting the various coverages available from the New Jersey Intergovernmental Insurance Fund (NJIIF). • Review with the Township any additional coverages that the Risk Management Consultant feels should be carried, but not available from the NJIIF, and subject to the Township’s authorization, place such coverages. • Assist the Township in the preparation of the application, statements of values and similar documents requested by the NJIIF. This does not include any appraisal work by the Risk Management Consultant. • Review the Township’s assessment as prepared by the NJIIF and assist in the preparation of its annual insurance budget. • Review the loss and engineering reports and generally assist the Safety Committee in its loss containment objectives. • Assist where needed in the settlement of the claims, not including work normally done by a public adjuster. • Any other services required by the NJIIF’s Bylaws.
