The work of this project consists of the following: A. All related incidental work includes site clearing, soil erosion and sediment control measures, traffic control, cleaning, and restorations. No separate payment will be made, but all costs are to be included in the various items of the proposal. B. Contractors shall have the necessary equipment to cut, remove, and dispose of buried foundation sections that may intersect the excavation for the installation of the new fire water main. By Submission of this bid, contractors acknowledge that they are aware of that unknowns may be encountered during construction that may hinder progress. C. The contractor is to be aware of the approximate location of the project to the Delaware River. The contractor is to include dewatering in the bid. No separate payment is to be made, but the costs shall be included in the unit price of line items no. 2 & 3. D. The contractor is responsible for locating existing fire mains to ascertain the current depths of the existing pipes. The contractor shall perform test pits where the connections on the plans are shown. No separate payment will be made, but all costs are to be included in the unit price of line items no. 2 & 3. E. Furnish and install the ductile iron fire main as shown on the plans.
