1. All trucks, plows, loaders, and/or other equipment which are to be used during the contract period shall be listed as to quantity, year, make, model, color, license plate and shall be available around the clock during the contract period. 2. All trucks shall be in good mechanical condition and may be equipped with single and dual pneumatic tires in the rear and single pneumatic tires in the front. The equipment, when plowing snow, shall also include head and taillights, a flasher, rotating beacon, or trouble light, a complete set of skid chains available to be mounted onto the power wheels when conditions make it necessary or as directed by the Director of Public Works. Windshields, wipers, heaters, and defroster shall be in good working order. 3. Trucks will be subject to inspection by an authorized representative of the Township. In addition, the Township reserves the right to make a rigid inspection as to the mechanical and safety features of any truck dispatched to the work site during the contract period. Such inspections shall in no way relieve the contractor of the responsibility of furnishing vehicles in compliance with all the requirements of these specifications.
