Respondent must have significant experience representing New Jersey governmental entities as General Counsel and must have prior representation of County Boards in the past. The successful Respondent will be expected to provide to the Board, its Director and Staff, legal advice and services, including but not limited to: performing legal research and providing advisory opinions as needed; representing the Board in federal and state courts and administrative forums; reviewing, and or preparing resolutions; attending meetings of the Board, Director and Staff, and acting as head of the Legal Department. In addition, General Counsel’s office is expected to handle day to day legal proceedings as they arise. The General Counsel must have experience in employment and personnel matters.
