Summary of Specifications:
Chaves County is required by the New Mexico Office of the State Engineer Dam Safety Bureau to prepare and have on file an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) for any jurisdictional dam classified as a significant or high hazard potential. The County is therefore soliciting proposals from qualified engineering firms for the development of an EAP for the Zuber Watershed Project, located in Chaves County, New Mexico. The project was constructed in 1959 and consists of three (3) significant hazard dams and 11.5 miles of outlet channel. Please refer to RFP specifications for all details and requirements.
