Summary of Specifications:
The City of Clovis is soliciting proposals from health insurance brokers to provide account management and expert consulting services for the group health, life, vision, dental, and disability insurance for City of Clovis employees. Health insurance broker would provide account management and expert consulting services for the group health, life, vision, and disability insurance plans for the City of Clovis. The broker(s) would be responsible for providing advice, making recommendations on plan design and cost containment strategies as well as managing other issues that arise with our Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), Dental, vision, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Life Insurance, Optional Life Insurance (for employees), Dependent Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability (LTD) benefit plans. Insurance agents/brokers would provide professional services for a minimum of two years beginning in December of 2007. The types of professional services requested in this Request for Proposal (RFP) are detailed in the Scope of Services. The process will involve two phases, the first of which is to narrow down the potential candidates. In the second phase, a minimum of three brokers will be selected to present insurance quotations. Final selection will be based on the presentation and the results of phase two.
