The requested Autoclave will be used in a laboratory setting in the ENMU-Roswell Aviation Maintenance Training program for training purposes involving composite repair.
Internal working diameter of two (2) feet Internal working length of two (2) feet Maximum pressure capability of 50 psig Maximum temperature of 900 degree F (to provide a heat source for metal parts for aircraft engines) Normal maximum working temperature of 350 degree F Pressurization gas source will be compressed air provided by our existing compressed air service (vendor will provide necessary connections) Maximum pressurization rate of 15 Psig/minute from Atmospheric Pressure to 50 Psig Maximum depressurization rate of 15 Psig/minute from 50 Psig to Atmospheric Pressure On/Off valve for pressurization control (accuracy +/-2 Psig) Internal fan circulation system capable of air speed of 250 ft/minute for temperature uniformity of +/-5 degree F Direct start, single speed fan circulation motor One (1) thermocouple for air temperature Four (4) thermocouples for part(s) temperature Heating capabilities for ten (10) pounds composite material (fiberglass, Kevlar, graphite) and fifty (50) pounds steel Maximum heating rate of 10 degree F/minute from ambient temperature to maximum temperature of 900 degree F Heating method will be electric (208 V A C single or three phase) Maximum cooling rate of 10 degree F/minute The cooling system will utilize our water supply with On/Off valve (vendor will provide all necessary connections) Autoclave will be equipped with one (1) oil-sealed vacuum pump Provision for vacuum control between 0-29"Hg Autoclave will have four (4) vacuum source lines with manual ball valves to switch from OFF-VACUUM-VENT The control system will PC based with monitor, color inkjet printer, I/O hardware, enclosure The control system will provide part control, reporting and data acquisition The autoclave will be mounted on s sturdy frame with heavy-duty casters for portability (if Possible) Vendor will pay the cost of transportation of Autoclave to ENMU-Roswell ENMU-Roswell will provide the necessary electric, water, and compressed air supplies Vendor will provide training for proper operation of the autocalve and certify the autoclave operates properly and safely Delivery must take place within ninety (90) days from date of bid award The Autoclave will come with a one (1) year warranty on parts and labor
