Summary of Specifications:
The Scope of Work for the projects listed in the District’s Facilities Master Plan, Maintenance Plan, and Bond Project Plan, shall include the following key elements: Programming (site selection and investigation), Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding, Construction Administration, and 11-month Warranty Inspection. The project team shall include as a minimum: Architectural, Engineering, and any other design consultants as may be required. Project(s) are as follows: o Campus-wide classroom renovation to add additional electrical capacity and in some cases, upgrade of HVAC and/or HVAC controllers. o Roof design and replacement for all campus buildings no longer covered with a warranty (all but High School building). o Flooring and wall finish upgrades in most classrooms and some hallways in campus buildings. o Design of recreational areas for elementary school aged students, adolescents, and community use, including outdoor drinking fountains. This will include a walking path with fitness stations around the perimeter of the school campus, a primary-aged playground area an intermediate-aged playground and an adolescent-aged play area with necessary items. o Design of outdoor classroom learning environments for elementary and secondary students. o Upgraded lighting in classrooms and campus-wide as is needed. This includes gymnasium areas and the football/track area. o Design of bathroom and concession stand facility on the football and track field; includes demolition of existing facility o Design of a ticket taking area for the football/track field area. o Computer network and telephone system upgrade. o Covered walkways between buildings to connect them o Campus-wide grounds beautification and utilization plan o Repair/replace stucco on affected campus buildings. o Update and redesign the locker rooms for male and female students in the New Gym and the Field House. o Develop a design to better use the basement areas of the high school and the Old Gym by turning them into teacher office areas. o Update the school entrance with a welcoming landscape and appropriate signage throughout the campus. o Design circulation and resurface parking areas campus-wide o Upgrade doors, windows and exit signage as necessary. o “Pole Barn” style facility for bus storage; includes concrete pad and location on campus. o Address drainage and watering plans campus-wide to stop the damage to the brick veneers and basement areas. o HVAC for both gymnasiums.
