Summary of Specifications:
The West Las Vega Vegas High School Phase V Classrooms addition is a new building of 8660 gross SF, which includes a 2191 gross SF Additive Alternate #1, and a Elevator addition which comprise Additive Alternate #2. The Elevator addition is located in an existing building off campus.
The West Las Vegas High School Phase V sitework consists of new sidewalks and ramps, site utilities and site drainage.
The classroom Building work consists of demolition of existing site improvements; including concrete sidewalks, drainage structures, grading of the site to provide drainage. The building is slab on grade construction with steel structural frame and lightgage metal frame infill with a brick veneer. The roof structure consists of metal bar joist with a roof purlin system with standing seam metal roofs. Roofing is standing seam metal and built-up. Interior partitions are lightgage metal framing with painted gypsum board finishes. Ceilings are lay-in acoustical with solid gypsum board in some locations and the entire building is insulated. Specialties for the building include chalk and marker boards and tackboards, casework, and projection screens. Floor finishes are VCT in classrooms, with ceramic tile in the restrooms. There are residential appliances in the Home Economics classrooms.
Additive Alternate No. 2 is to add a hydraulic elevator to the existing WLV School District Administrative Offices. The Scope of Work include demolition of portions of the existing building in order to construct the new elevator shaft and elevator. Also included are electrical upgrades and some minor mechanical work. HVAC and electrical systems are designed to support the use and function of the building.
