Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The addition of hypochlorite will help correct the effluent quality to reduce the possibility of human exposure and health risks in the Santa Fe River. The utilization of high volumes of hypochlorite for reduction of unwanted bacteria in the wastewater treatment process are calculated at 659 gallons per day requiring bulk storage in already supplied totes and delivery for a minimum of 6 weeks. This schedule was attempted last fiscal year, but interruptions in budgeting with finance prevented us from maintaining a continuous flow so the process had to be started again. This resulted in a loss of $42,570.92 in wasted chemical last fiscal year. This schedule attempts to fix the issue and start again.
