THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential sources capable of performing the effort described herein pursuant to FAR Part 10, Market Research and FAR Part 19, Small Business Programs. This is for planning purposes only.
Any information submitted by respondents to this Source Sought Notice is voluntary. The United States Air Force (USAF) does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Respondents should not construe this notice as a commitment by the Air Force for any purpose and should refrain from providing proprietary information in the response.
1. INTRODUCTION: This is the initial step in the planning process for a Design-Build effort for construction services at Kirtland Air Force Base. The overall scope of the effort includes: the demolition, renovation, and new construction to support an administrative area and storage facility. Most of the work will take place within Hangar 291 (H291) with renovations in B290 to bring communications networks up to date.
The 377 MSG/PKC at Kirtland Air Force Base seeks sources that have knowledge with the design and construction services required to complete “Convert B290 & 291 to LRS Warehouse,” as described in the attached Statement of Work.
The effort is expected to result in a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. The NAICS code is 236220, and the size standard in millions of dollars is $45.0. Disclosure of Magnitude of Construction: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
2. INSTRUCTIONS:
All Firm’s response to this Sources Sought shall be limited to 5 pages and shall include the following information:
1. Contractor’s name, address, point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, CAGE, UEI, applicable NAICS codes, and website (if applicable).
2. Contractor’s small business status (small business, small-disadvantaged business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, economically disadvantaged woman-owned small business, woman-owned small business, HUBZone, or 8(a)). The Air Force reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside for any subsequent acquisition based upon responses to this notice. Small business respondents should provide a statement of capabilities to assist the Air Force in making a set-aside decision.
3. Provide a list of at least two examples of same or similar work performed by your firm in the past 5 years of same or similar size, scope, magnitude, and complexity as the “Convert B290 & 291 to LRS Warehouse” requirement.
