C. SCOPE OF PROCUREMENT The County of Otero is issuing a Request for Proposals for the management and lease of our Child Care Facility Alamogordo New Mexico. The successful Proposer will have experience in running similar facilities. The intent of this Request for Proposal is seeking professional Childcare Operation and Management proposals from qualified, accredited firms that currently provide licensed childcare services at private or public childcare facilities and have a proven track record of successfully operating and managing childcare centers. Proposals should demonstrate the proposer’s ability to effectively operate and manage the Center. The Center shall be leased for one(1) year with the option to renew an additional three (3) years not to exceed a total of four (4) years. Proposers must work in close coordination with the County Manager and or her designee. Proposer will be required to submit a quarterly report (contents of the report will be discussed and agreed up after award of the RFP). Otero County seeks to identify and contract with an experienced, accredited child care provider that meets each of the following objectives: 1. Provide a self-sustaining and high –quality program of child care services for the citizens of Otero County 2. Maintain the highest level of health and safety for the children it serves; 3. To ensure the optimal physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of each child; 4. To assist each child in the development of self-worth through personal successes and positive rein Enforcement; 5. Through enrollment, hiring procedures and programing, to provide the opportunity for children and adults of different ethnicity, ages, cultures, languages, socioeconomic groups, and physical abilities to be represented and to celebrate those diversities; The Provider will provide all necessary labor, materials, supplies and support necessary to operate preschool and child care services programs. Awarded bidder will be responsible for all Public Utilities (electricity, gas, propane, heat, garbage/waste disposal, water). Communications (telephone, facsimile, postage, modem line); Professional services (accounting and janitorial); Director’s salary Payroll taxes for Director’s position.
