Cutting Swath: Three (3) sections hinged together, five (5) foot in width, providing an optional cutting swath of five (5), ten (10) and fifteen (15) feet. Cutter heads shall be arranged in a manner as to overlap to prevent cutting blades from leaving an uncut section between units. Deck/Frame: Deck shall be constructed from seven-gauge steel and box section reinforcements. Side skirts shall bolt on and be constructed from one-quarter (1/4) inch thick steel. Skid Plates: Replaceable skid shoes on all sections. Wing Attachment: The outer cutter heads shall be hinged to the center cutter head in such a manner as to allow the mower to conform to the contour of the surface to be mowed. Left and right wings shall be attached to the center section by full length hinge pins. Hinge pins shall have grease zerk. Independent left and right, hydraulic raise/lower wing operation through tractor hydraulic remotes. Level Lift: Manufacturer’s standard heavy-duty mechanical level lift axle that provides a uniform cutting height across the full width of the machine. Cutting range from six (6) through twelve (12) inches. Hydraulic lift cylinder for raising center section. Wing Lift: Wing sections shall raise and lower ninety-degrees (90°) above horizontal to twenty-degrees (20°) below grade with hydraulic cylinders attached to the center section. Mechanical Winch/Transport Lock: Wing sections shall have the capability to be raised and lowered by a mechanical winch and cable arrangement, anti-kickback clutch. Transport locking device to hold wings in upright transport mode to prevent wing drifting. Tongue Jack: Hand crank screw jack to raise and lower tongue. Hitch: Pintle type hitch with a three-eights (3/8) inch grade seventy (70) safety chains and slip hooks with safety latches. Gearboxes: Will be at least one hundred eighty (180) horsepower power divider gear box. One hundred sixty (160) horsepower center and wing gearboxes. All gearboxes shall be equipped with tapered roller bearings and cast iron hubs. Quick Connect Drive Lines: Both wing section drive lines shall be equipped with quick connect/disconnect slip type yokes at power divider as to allow mowing with center section only with no rotation to wing cutter heads. Provide one (1) dummy shaft for each wing section drive line to accept quick connect/disconnect yokes when wing sections are not operable. Clutches: All connecting drivelines shall have category five (5), heavy-duty, multi-plate slip clutches.
