(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
(ii) This solicitation is issued as an Request for Quotation (RFQ).
(iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2024-02.
(iv) This procurement is set aside for total small business. The NAICS code is 115310 and the Small Business Size Standard is $11.5 Million.

(vi) Description of Requirement (including a list of any attachments)
Description of Work: The intent of this contract is to secure services for vegetation control treatment in and around young conifer regeneration stands. The specified treatment will be the foliar application of herbicide mixtures from backpack sprayers to target vegetation using a directed spray technique.
Contractor Responsibility: The Contractor shall provide everything ¿ including, but not limited to, all equipment, supplies, transportation, labor, and supervision ¿ necessary to complete the project, except for that which the contract clearly states is to be furnished by the Government.
Before work may begin the Contractor shall designate, in writing, at least one person on site with authority to act in case of the Contractor¿s absence from the work site. The Contractor shall list the extent of authority this representative will have on the job. The Contractor or authorized representative shall be on the project area whenever work is in progress and shall act as a non-working supervisor. In the absence of the Contractor, this authorized representative shall receive orders and instructions from the Contracting Officer and shall take such action as is required to keep the job in progress under the terms of the contract. The Contractor and authorized representative(s) shall have an oral command of both the English language and the language common to the crew(s).

Period of Performance: Estimated Start Date, May 02st. 60 day period of performance.
Location: The project is located on the Eldorado National Forest, Georgetown Ranger District. Specific maps of the treatment areas are included in the Contract Maps and Supplemental Specifications.
The Georgetown Ranger District office is located at 7600 Wentworth Springs Road, Georgetown, CA 95634. All work sites on the Georgetown Ranger District are within approximately 1 hour travel time from the district office.
