The project scope is as follows, but is not limited to the following: This project is issued by and under the control of the Incorporated County of Los Alamos. The project is managed by the Department of Public Utilities (DPU). DPU seeks the removal of one (1) NGK One (1) megawatt, Six (6) megawatt-hour sodium sulfur battery system. 1. Term: Work to begin not earlier than December 2, 2024 and to be completed not later than May 31, 2025. 2. Address: 3701 East Jemez Road, Los Alamos, New Mexico 87544 (35°52'36.3"N 106°19'04.7"W). 3. Site accessibility: The site is accessible between 0800 – 1615 hours Mountain Daylight Time (“MDT”), seven (7) days a week, excluding holidays. 4. Site details: The site offers vehicle access to the battery cabinet, with moderately loose gravel surrounding the pad. There is sufficient space to maneuver one or more tractor-trailers and other selected Contractor-supplied equipment such as loaders, hoists or telescopic forklifts. There is approximately 7-8 feet of flat concrete apron surrounding the battery cabinet which may be used to stage equipment or racking. See Figure 1 below.
