• All effort will be made to maintain the golf courses to the standards of the United States Golf Association (USGA). • Service during weekends, service over the weekend is critical to the success of the golf courses. • Trash receptacles will be emptied as needed throughout the course and litter pickup will occur daily. • All persons performing irrigation repairs must possess, at a minimum, Journeyman Sprinkler Irrigation License as issued by the State of New Mexico Construction Industry Division (CID). • All persons performing pesticide and fertilizer applications must possess a New Mexico Pesticide Applicators License as issued by the New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA) under authorization from the Environmental Protection Agency. Category 3A (Ornamental and Turf Pests) and 3B (Ornamental and Turf Weeds) are the minimum requirement. • All pesticide and fertilizer application records must be submitted electronically within 48 hours of product application. Records must conform to NMDA requirements. • All tree work including but not limited to installation, pruning and removal will be performed by an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist. • Water conservation is of utmost importance to the University of New Mexico. Please explain your water management plan and how water usage will be monitored. • The University of New Mexico follows an Integrated Pest management (IPM) approach to pesticide applications for weed, insect and pest control to minimize the impact on the environment, wildlife and golf course users. Please provide your companies IPM policies and procedures. Turf Management: • Mowing shall be done using properly adjusted mowing equipment suitable to both terrain and size of area to be mowed • Mower blades shall be sharp to prevent fraying of the grass blades. • Aeration to be performed throughout the year. • Appropriate fertilizer shall be applied as necessary. The following will be considered a minimum of applications: Greens Fertilized 2-4 times a year, Tees fertilized 2-3 times a year, Fairways fertilized twice a year and Roughs fertilized once a year. Turf Management-Tees, Collars and Approaches: • All tees are to be smooth, firm but not hard, clean and in good condition. Markers rotated consistent with cup rotation system and aligned with the line of play. • Tee and Collar mowing frequency will be twice a week minimum. • Cutting height- 3/8”-5/8” • Divot repairs will be completed as needed • Ball washer detailing completed twice a week or as needed • Aerification of tees will be completed a minimum two (2) times a year and top-dressed • Divot buckets on par 3’s serviced 2-3 times a week • Irrigation head trimming as needed Turf Management-Fairways: • All fairways are to be smooth, clean, frim but not hard, and well defined. • Mowing frequency of twice weekly during the growing season at a minimum • Height of cut- 1/2”-9/16” • Irrigation head trimming as needed
