The work site is located at: Albany County Rail Trail in the Village of Voorheesville and Towns of New Scotland and Bethlehem, in Albany County. The project begins at the parking lot on Grove Street in the Village of Voorheesville, and proceeds east to the bridge over State Route 85 in Slingerlands.
The work includes: Hauling and placing asphalt concrete, placing detectable warning surfaces, installing wood board fencing, and miscellaneous other work, along the Rail Trail corridor, or as directed by the Commissioner of Public Works, or her representative. The Contractor is responsible for providing maintenance and protection of traffic at the at-grade intersections.
Plans, specifications and bid proposal forms will be provided on a CD in PDF format (ADOBE version 9) and may be obtained at the office of the Albany County Purchasing Agent listed above at a cost of $10.00 deposit per CD to the prospective bidder. If more than one CD is requested, a nonrefundable cost of $5.00 service charge will be charged. The deposit will be returned to those bidders who return usable CD’s with the bid, or within 30 days of their bid submission. Unmarked includes in good, reusable condition.
This is a UNIT PRICE BID. Each proposal must be made on an official Bid Form and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the base bid as security.
