City of Amsterdam (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Raw Water Transmission Main Easement Clearing
Project Number: W23-1
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the City of Amsterdam Office of the City Clerk located at Room 104, 61 Church Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010, until Friday, April 21, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after in the Common Council Chamber at 61 Church Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
The Project includes the following Work:
Tree and brush clearing in a 20-foot-wide easement for an 8.5-mile section of the City’s raw water transmission main.
Bids are requested for the following Contract: Raw Water Transmission Main Easement Clearing, Project No. W23-1

Bid Security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders
Obtaining the Bidding Documents
Information and Bidding Documents for the Project become available to the public on March 13, 2023.

Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 4:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. If shipping is requested, the Contractor to provide the City with FedEx, UPS or USPS account information. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents on USB drive will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen. Bidding Documents are available for purchase in the following formats:

Pre-bid Conference
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 10:00am. Water Treatment Plant, 250 Brookside Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.

Laws, regulations and outside funding requirements, if any, will be referenced in the Instructions to Bidders (ITB) and the text of each will be attached to Section 00 73 73 which will be a Contract Document.
