Request for Proposal is obtainable either at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/new-york, or the Business Office 347 W Main Street, Catskill, New York, during business hours. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes marked on the outside

“Proposal for Construction Management Service”

and be in the hands of the School Business Official , in the Business Office, Catskill, 347 W Main Street, Catskill, New York, prior to 2:00 p.m. on

September 12, 2018

The proposals will be tabulated and presented to the Board of Education for action shortly thereafter. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all proposal, waive informalities and accept the one appearing to be in the best interest of the School District.

Request for Proposal – Construction Management Service
I. Introduction:
The Catskill Central School District (The District) hereby requests proposals from Construction Management firms (CM) to assist the District with possible construction of building additions and capital improvements on various school buildings. In the next 9 months, the District will adopt a resolution to conduct a bond referendum with a public vote.

The District is interested in a pro-active and hands-on CM team that will partner with the District and BBS Architects, to insure that the project is of high quality, is completed on time and on budget. It is essential that your proposal emphasize your firm’s and the project team’s experience with projects governed by the municipal laws of New York State.

There is no expressed or implied obligation for the District to reimburse responding firms for any expenses incurred in preparing proposals in response to this request.

To be considered, one original, marked as original, plus six (6) copies of a proposal must be received by the School Business Official by 2:00 p.m. on September 12, 2018 The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals submitted.

II. Pre-proposal Conference:
A pre-proposal conference will be held on August 29th at 10 AM at 347 W Main Street, Catskill, NY 12414. Both verbal and written questions will be accepted during the conference. Written question are to be submitted on or before September 5th to Joseph Jimick, Catskill Central School District, 347 W Main Street, Catskill, NY 12414 or jjimick@catskillcsd.org. The district may include an addendum to the RFP to answer these questions.

III. Description of the School District:
The Catskill Central School District, located in Greene County in NY, serves approximately 1450 students from Pre- Kindergarten though twelfth grade. There is one P K – 5th grade elementary school, one 6th – 8th middle school physically combined with one 9th – 12th grade high school. The New York State Education Department considers the Middle and High School as one building
