RFB-0170 - Demolition of Residential and Commercial Structures

Summary of Specifications:
The Contractor is to comply with all notification requirements in accordance with Section 8-26 of theCode of Ordinances of the City of Elmira. The work consists of the demolition of condemned residential and commercial structures, including ancillary buildings; all work will be on an as needed basis. The intent of the contract is to provide for the complete demolition of the structures and debris removal and disposal in every detail of the work as specified. The successful contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the specifications and terms of the contract. The successful contractors’ responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintenance of the work site, maintenance of traffic, safety, environmental protection and abandonment of utilities. The contractor shall procure all permits and licenses, pay all charges, fees, and taxes and give all notices necessary and incidental to the due and lawful prosecution of the work. The Contractor must be certified in accordance with NYS Industrial Rule 56.
