Description

1. The work in this section shall consist of furnishing and erecting highway railing, bridge and culvert railing, posts, anchorage, transitions, appurtenances and related work.
2. Regardless of the standard item specification wording, no separate payment will be made for shop curved railing and maintenance and protection of traffic at mobile operations.
3. Contractor shall upon request, review the proposed guide railing location in the field, set extents of work and provide all delineation of proposed work prior to installation.
4. Contractor shall review field conditions with the County, which may warrant adjustment to the proposed work prior to final layout and installation.
5. Note: County reserves the right to purchase guiderail from the current NYS OGS bid.

The Purchasing Office is closed between 12:00 Noon and 1:00 P.M. daily.
The Purchasing Office receives one (1) daily US Mail delivery after 2:00 P.M.
Any bid received in the Purchasing Office after 1:45 on the due date will not be considered.
Bids received via facsimile or electronically will not be considered.
Bid proposals must be submitted in duplicate (one original and one exact copy).
The County of Chemung reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted and to waive any informality.
