RFB-2480 - RFB-2480 STONE FILLING AND RIP RAP-2023-2024

GENERAL: This specification describes the minimum material and quality requirements for Stone Filling and Rip Rap for use in construction and maintenance of highways. Stone Filling shall be produced to provide various sizes, weight and dimensions in accordance with NYSDOT 620 - Bank and Channel Protection. 2. BID PRICES: Bidders must provide bid prices per ton for the product including delivery to any point within Chemung County. 3. MATERIALS: Figures 620-1 and 620-2 are provided to assist in the evaluation and gradation of materials considered foruse as Stone Filling andDry Rip-Rap. a. Stone Filling: shall consist of well graded stone suitable for placement as protective material on stream-banks, in channels and elsewhere. Gradation of materials provided shall be as specified in Figure 620-1, and will be accepted or rejected based on a visual examination of material by Owner.
