The City of Elmira intends to purchase two (2) new and unused Ford F350 Pick-up Trucks with Dump Body and Western Plow, meeting the specifications set forth herein. The bid will be awarded to the responsible bidder(s) submitting the lowest responsive bid for either vehicle 1, vehicle 2, or both vehicles. Bidders' proposed equipment must meet or exceed all minimum specifications listed in this document for the intended use. Any exceptions to the specifications must be clearly identified on the Bid Deviations Sheet
The technical specifications are based on a generic type and quality. They are not intended to exclude any product, manufacturer, or vendor but rather to describe the minimum required quality and functionality. Any necessary appurtenances that are not mentioned but are essential to furnishing a complete unit must be included and meet current manufacturing standards for strength and material quality. Equipment meeting or exceeding the minimum specifications and providing equivalent functions will be considered. No mid-production assemblies, accessories, or parts thereof will be accepted
The City of Elmira reserves the sole right to judge the equivalence of any proposed product to the minimum specifications.
It is the bidder’s responsibility to provide adequate proof of equivalence to the minimum specifications and bear all associated costs for proving this to the City.
